MAJOR TIP:  I highly suggest that you set up an extra free email account (such as Yahoo, Hotmail, or other free email service) to use for your email confirmation address when you do things like sign up for free online advertising, free SE submission, and so forth -- RATHER THAN use your MAIN email account -- BECAUSE (1) you mostly likely will be sent at least SOME confirmation emails which you must usually must open and click a link inside to activate your request, and (2) you may get added to spam lists by signing up for those free resources. That way, you can protect your main email account from getting clogged up with unwanted email, and yet you can benefit from the many great, free resources that are available online.

From what I understand, even if you don't submit your sites to search engines, eventually they all get indexed by the SE spiders ANYWAY. However, submitting them may speed up the process at least a little bit....
